Stella was already feeding fish when Irvin flew into the USS eagle nest with a squirrel, and she immediately took the new delivery from him. Minutes later, the nest had two meals going at once, with Stella feeding from the squirrel, Irvin working the fish, and Hutch, Sid, and Maz gathered between both bald eagle parents.
Stella laid her third egg on February 26 at the U.S. Steel Eagles nest, turning a quiet two-egg season into something bigger. With three eggs now tucked beneath her, hatch watch shifts toward early April.
